On December 15, 2020, the Honorable Joel Schneider granted final approval of an approximately $19.6 million class and collective action settlement involving FLSA claims against Burlington Coat Factory Stores (and its related entities). The settlement represents the second-largest wage-and-hour settlement in the District of New Jersey. The settlement provides a gross average recovery of more than $12,000 per Collective and Class Member. The Court also awarded attorneys’ fees and costs, as well as a $10,000 incentive award for each of the four named Plaintiffs.
